In need of a stable makeup routine?
I got to sit down with MAC Make-Up Artist: Izzy Nolan and she cultivated the perfect summer makeup routine for me, knowing that I’m always running around but I don’t want to sacrifice more time in front of the mirror in order to feel chic.
I knew I wanted to have a quick routine I could follow while running out the door going to work, or hanging out with family and friends + still feel cute. I also told Izzy that I pretty much wanted to look like a cherub.
Izzy took the time to find out more about my lifestyle, my makeup routine and all my filthy makeup habits. She diagnosed my need vs want in my potential product army and broke down the advantages and benefits of the products we chose for my “lazy girl lifestyle”.
We broke down this guide in three categories: complexion, eyes and highlight+colour.
She prepped my skin with Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer + my favourite foundation Studio Fix Fluid (my shade is C4.5 😋 ).
Use your concealer not only for blemishes and the under-eye area, priming your lids too!!

Lazy Girl Tip No. 4

don’t fret with pencils, pomades or powders – this works like mascara for your brows.
Lazy Girl Tip No. 5
Make up how – or if – you wanna makeup
“Everything in makeup is optional. Wear as little – or as much – as you want. Self-expression empowers you. You always look your best when you feel comfortable and confident.” – Izzy
I don’t think I can emphasize how much these lazy girl tips have already helped me in my daily routine. I want to thank the knowledge and talent of Izzy, and the photography skills of Erika Doll Photography, for capturing my vision for this guide. I have managed to narrow my makeup routine down to 5+/- minutes everyday, proving that lazy girls can still look glam too.
What Lazy Girl Tips do you have in your beauty routine? I’m curious!
