bareMinerals BAREPRO PERFORMANCE WEAR LIQUID FOUNDATION REVIEW | 2017

*I want to start this post of by saying I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Two things I hate buying are foundation and concealer. In a perfect world I would have skin that is clear, glowing and all one tone. Reality bites, and so I have discoloration, breakouts and pick my face (don’t hate me if you’re an esthetician) . I have been trying to move to a lighter foundation and concealer routine to give my skin a break, and I was recently sent the new bareMinerals BAREPRO Foundation in the shade Golden Nude 13, so I thought I’d share my thoughts with you!

So, on the box it says its a “flawless medium-to-full coverage that lasts all day” with a “creamy, blendable texture for luxurious comfort” and “stay-true mineral pigments for all skin tones.” In addition to it being oil-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested, it is also SPF 20. I really don’t care about any of this because I am that awful human who doesn’t use sun screen, doesn’t prime or set my face during makeup application, and who hates getting their skin matched for foundation so I’m just grateful to get any foundation for free.

Anyway, now you know the truth about me and I can talk about this foundation with my honest opinion. As mentioned I received my foundation in Golden Nude 13. The foundation comes with a pump top and I’ve found out through use that I only need one pump for full face coverage. I initially thought Golden Nude was too light for my skin tone, but the product blends really well when applied with a beauty blender, or with my god-given beauty blenders (my fingers). I do feel as if the foundation is long lasting and I don’t find myself cringing at my reflection after a day at the salon because my foundation didn’t hold up to the ‘coverage that lasts all day promise.’

For the retail price of $34, the quality of the foundation exceeds the price. Compared to I what I was using (Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer which is .7 oz bigger and $10 more) I still prefer bareMineral’s BAREPRO because I have more control with how much foundation I am applying with the pump applicator. I am definitely happy with the product, and would consider purchasing in the future.
